Katherine L.Thomas, 93, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and Nana, passed away peacefully on the 30th of May 2015. She was born on the 29th of August 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska. Katherine retired from Wichita State University as the sole Administrative Assistant of the Dean and 7 Professors in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wesley C. Thomas; son, Tom J. Thomas and brother, Sam Russo. She is survived by her sister, Josephine Russo and Hank Borst; daughter, Kathy Thomas-Wulf; sons, Dennis Thomas, Michael Thomas and Patrick Thomas; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Recitation of the holy rosary is to commence at seven-thirty in the evening on Tuesday, the 2nd of June. A Mass of Christian Burial is to be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 3rd of June, at St. Anne Catholic Church. The family requests memorial contributions be made to either St. Anne Catholic Church or Bishop Caroll High School. Arrangements under the direction of Devorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, Wichita, KS.
