Ken graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After college he worked in Omaha and Kansas City, and then spent 30 years at EMC Insurance in Wichita. Ken was a man of many passions including football, animals, cycling, running, cars, playing guitar, listening to classic rock, jazz and blues, attending concerts, reading (true crime and rock and roll biographies), flying (he had his private pilot license) and working in the backyard koi pond. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, a microbrew, and frozen gummy bears. He was a competitive perfectionist with a wry sense of humor who enjoyed a good practical joke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Janice Lieb. Ken is survived by his wife, Kim (Fast) Lieb; daughter, Claire; and brother, Brian Lieb (Michelle) of Roseville, MN.
A Celebration of Life Service for Ken will be held Saturday, April 29th at College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. 1st Street N in Wichita, at 1:00 pm (casual attire).
