

Sherman, Kenneth E., 88, of Bel Aire, KS passed away peacefully on Wed. Feb. 25, 2015 at his home in Bel Aire. Kenneth was born on July 29, 1926 in Toronto, KS the son of A.C. and Sadie Sherman. Kenneth and Twyla were united in marriage on April 13, 1957 in Belpre, KS. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Kenneth served in the United States Marines during World War II. Kenneth was a longtime member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Wichita. Kenneth graduated from College of Emporia and then received his master’s degree at Michigan State University. He began his teaching career at Belpre, KS and then taught and coached in Wichita for 30 years at East High and Brooks Middle School. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, George, Les and Alan Sherman, sister, Norma Sherman. Survivors include his loving wife, Twyla Sherman, children, Linnel Sherman, David (Wendy) Sherman and Tami (Scott) Kincaid, brothers, Ed and Elmer Sherman, grandchildren, Shawn Sherman, Jeremiah, Hayley, Amber Sherman, Trisha and Austin (Sarah) Kincaid and Kari (Martin) Miller, Taylor, Ashley, Grace and Elizabeth Sherman, Weston, Karli and Jovie Wilkins, Ty and Zoey Kincaid and Bennett Miller. Funeral services will be 1pm on Sat. Feb. 28, 2015 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita.
