

Kevin Lynn Reinert was born in Concordia, KS on December 18, 1957 to Bennie Reinert and Edith Mans. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 27, 2021 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital.
Kevin graduated from Esbon High School in 1976. He attended North Central Kansas Area Vocational Technical School in Beloit, KS and he graduated with a certificate in carpentry.
Kevin worked as a carpenter and construction manager for several companies throughout his years of employment. He was currently employed by Olgoonik as a Construction Superintendent.
On May 12,1979, he married Ruth Streit, two children were born into this union, Jill Marie and Jevon Lynn. They resided in Beloit, KS until 1989 when they moved to Wichita, KS to accept a position with Cessna Aircraft Co. On June 19, 2004, he married Rita McCauley of Wichita.
Kevin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed sporting events like dirt track racing, Wichita Thunder Hockey and KC Chiefs games. He loved spending time with his grandson Niklas, wife, children, and Labrador dogs. Kevin was an AA sponsor and had 29 years of sobriety. He was one of the founding members of Renewal Group of Wichita, KS. One of Kevin's strongest attributes to humanity is that Kevin never knew a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need.
He is survived by his wife, Rita of Wichita, KS; children, Jill Reinert of Lansing, KS and Jevon (Alicia) Reinert of Omaha, NE; grandchild, Niklas Reinert of Omaha, NE; siblings, Dennis (Ann) Reinert of Hays, KS, Linda (Don) Colson of Wichita, KS, Diane (Max) Peters of Beloit, KS, Brenda (Terry) Koch of Clyde, KS, and Sheila (Mike) Thibault of Lansing, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Edith Reinert of Downs, KS.
Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm (family present from 6-8), Thursday, September 2nd, with Funeral Service 10am, Friday September 3rd, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial to Renewell Group, Kansas Area Assembly
