Kimberly Rochelle Caldwell, affectionately known as "Kim," passed away on September 16, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 64. She was born on December 15, 1961, in Wichita, Kansas, to Lavera (Pickett) Alexander and Elvy Cooper.
Kim was a remarkable woman whose determination and confidence were evident from an early age. While attending East High School, she boldly declared that there was nothing more they could teach her, and at the age of 15, she earned her GED in 1977. Later in life, she furthered her education by attending Wichita State University.
After earning her GED, Kim worked as a waitress at KIP'S Big Boy before beginning a career with Fourth National Bank, now known as Bank of America, where she worked in data entry for many years. She later dedicated 25 years of service to the City of Wichita as a Case Desk Clerk, retiring in 2023.
On August 19, 1984, Kim married the love of her life, Walter Lee Caldwell Jr. Their story began years earlier when they met as neighborhood children playing kickball together, a friendship that grew into a lifelong partnership.
Kim was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in May 1997. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She faithfully participated in the ministry, public witnessing, congregation meetings, and the ministry school until her final days. She cherished every opportunity to share her beliefs and encourage others.
Family was the center of Kim's world. She enjoyed family game nights, especially when Monopoly was involved, and treasured the time spent with those she loved.
Kim leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Walter Lee Caldwell Jr.; her mother, Lavera Pickett; her children, Kameko Caldwell, Nakia Caldwell, and Walter Caldwell III; her grandchildren, DeQuincey (Alexandra) Caldwell, Joseph Bouligny, Jaylon Bouligny, MyKaijhia Donahue, Mya Caldwell, Josiah Bouligny, William Thompson, Ethan Thompson, and Damien Caldwell; and her siblings, Gerald (Lisa) Pickett, Katherine Cooper, Lydia (James) Robinson, Brenda (William) Brooks, Terri Greene, and Dana (Nathan) Atkinson. She also leaves behind her honorary siblings; Shelly Bobo, James Greene Jr., Ramel Greene, Angie (Turundus) Luckett and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Elvy Cooper; her daughter, Reyona Cardwell; her grandmother, Margie Pickett; her grandfather, Hugh Pickett; her brother, Barry Pickett; her stepfather, James Greene Sr.; her mother-in-law, Costella Caldwell; her father-in-law, Walter Lee Caldwell; and her sister, Diane. She was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, Little Bear, who passed away in 2019.
Kim's unwavering faith, dedication to her family, and loving spirit will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, strength, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on September 25, 2026, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, Kansas 67206 with an Inurnment immediately following the service at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th. St. N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
