Koen Cole Shelton was born February 26, 2026 at Wesley Medical Center. He died a short 2 weeks later. March 12. In those 2 weeks, he proved to be a fighter kicking, flailing, feisty and sassy. He gave the NICU nurses hell causing chaos, yet the nurses and doctors all became very attached to him and felt the sudden loss as well after they tried so valiantly to save him.
Koen is survived by his parents, Keanu Shelton of Arkansas City and Keegan Moore of Udall, grandparents Shannon Turner of Arkansas City, Bobby Turner of Holyrood, Syndal and Justin Kester of Udall, and great grandma Patti Shelton of Winfield, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Jerry Shelton; great grandfathers Jimmy Shelton and Donald Stanley; great grandparents Byron and Maxine Bratcher, great great grandfathers; Leroy Shelton and Alfred Thompson and great aunts Angela

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 25 at 2pm at Island Park in Winfield.
