Lance A. Springfield, age 59, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Lance was born on June 6, 1963 in Wichita the son of the late Rex A. Springfield, and Pamela A. (Bartel) Lipscomb.
Lance was a graduate of Andover High School, graduating in 1980. On March 5th 1985, Lance married Teresa M. (Main). Lance was a dedicated hard worker, he worked for NWI Aerostructure in Wichita.
Lance enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, including riding motorcycle, fishing, hunting, morel mushroom hunting in the spring and golfing. He also enjoyed reading books, including the Bible, watching western movies and reciting the scripture with his wife. Lance spent many years as a member of the Zions Outpost Church in Park City.
Lance fell in love with weightlifting/training early on and entered the world of powerlifting in his early 20's and competed in many competitions winning championships, medals and trophies.
Lance was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Teresa M. Springfield of the home; brother, Bret A. Springfield of Iola, KS; sister, Becky A. and husband, Zane Mozingo of Cherryvale KS; nephews, John King (Chrissy), Josh King (Jessi), Brian King (Crystal) and Kevin King; great nephew, Brody King and great nieces, Hadley King and Natalie Pape.
A visitation for Lance will be one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita. Interment will follow Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Meditation.
