Larry Blevins

Larry passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the age of 81 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born to Ronald L. and Juanita Blevins on June 26, 1944, in Batesville, Arkansas.

Larry was a lifelong educator and possessed a passion for learning. A devoted Christian, he found peace in God’s creation while fishing, hunting, or finding a good walking stick on his hikes. He deeply loved his family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Paula Blevins; sister, Lulita Hopkins (Craig) of Udall, Kansas; children, Brenda (Lynn) Umholtz of Andover, Becky (Andy) Stephens of Wichita, Barbie (Brad) Atkinson of Derby. He was a proud Grandad to his 6 grandkids, Heather (Mike) Ferguson of Topeka, Kayla (Justin) Lawhon of Wichita, Nicole (Jacob) Gillispie of Derby, Bryce (Delaney) Atkinson of Wellington, Alec Stephens of Wichita/Sendai and Brooke Atkinson of Wellington. He is also survived by his 7 great-grandchildren: Julien, Annie, Declan , Fletcher, Beckett, Presley, and Witt.

Larry will be fondly remembered for his love of nature, American history, and a good Western.

No services will be held however, those who knew Larry know how much love and laughter he brought into their lives and that will forever be celebrated.
