Throughout his working life, Larry dedicated himself to manufacturing and production, bringing steady commitment and pride to the work he did. His days reflected a practical strength and dependability—qualities that shaped both his career and the way he showed up for those around him.
Away from work, Larry found enjoyment in the simple pleasures that made life feel full: he was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, and he especially loved football and fishing. Those who knew him will also remember the easy humor he carried with him. Larry often joked that he was “the best at everything,” a line delivered with the kind of wit that could lighten a room.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Martin Mote; his mother, Violet Rowan Mote; and his wife, Carolyn Carbell Mote.
He is survived by his brothers, Rick and Alan Rice; and his children, Shelly, Terry, Amy, and Ashley.
Larry will be remembered with respect and gratitude—for his working life, for the laughter he shared, and for the love he held for his family.
