Born on July 19, 1969, Laura was the cherished daughter of Dennis and Sandra Wilson. She grew up alongside her sister, Stacy and brother James Wilson, forming bonds rooted in love, laughter, and shared memories. Laura later met and married Ian Anderson, her devoted partner and soulmate.
Laura was known for her gentle spirit and artistic heart. She found joy in quilting, scrapbooking and jewelry making. Her deep affection for animals, especially dogs, cats and birds, reflected her nurturing nature.
She is survived by her mother, Sandy; sister, Stacy (James) Renfroe; brother, James (Maranda) Wilson, 8 nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ian Anderson and her father, Dennis Wilson.
In honor of Laura’s life and legacy, memorial contributions may be made to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at www.theaftd.org, supporting research and care for others affected by the same condition.
To celebrate Laura’s vibrant spirit, the family kindly requests that guests wear bright colors or Star Wars shirts to her service.
A visitation for Laura will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service both at Resthaven Mortuary.
