Rogers, Laveta G., 94, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014. She was born December 30, 1919 in Anthony, Kansas, and was active in her church, Wichita First Church of the Nazarene, for over 70 years. Laveta also loved to bowl, sew and have family gatherings in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, parents LaGrande and Frances Rice, and siblings Wilmot Rice, Zelma Barth, Howard Rice, Ruth Rice and Joyce Hewes, and is survived by son Michael Rogers (Libby); daughter Linda Tessmer (Joe); grandchildren Rebecca Stoudt, Joann Rangel, Jeremy Rogers and Amanda Kazarooni; great-grandchildren Jared and Noah Stoudt and Presley Rangel. Memorial Service 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 13 at Wichita First Church of the Nazarene, 1400 E. Kellogg Drive, with Pastor Brad Riley officiating.
