Leroy Wesley Stine, 79, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 28, 2025. He was born in Ottawa, Kansas on December 29, 1945. Leroy joined the US Navy and shipped out to Vietnam after high school. He lived in the Kansas City area before moving to Wichita in 1976. In Wichita he continued his work in appliance repair. On August 1, 1996, Leroy started his career at Resthaven Gardens of Memory as Superintendent of Cemeteries. He retired on April 5, 2024, after 28 years of dedicated service.
Leroy married the love of his life, Charlene Dianne Martin, on May 28, 1966. They had 57 wonderful years together before she preceded him in death on July 5, 2023. Together they enjoyed traveling, entertaining and most of all spending time with family.
Leroy is survived by his daughters, Laura (Tracy) Tynan and Melissa (Jeremy) Seiwert; his mother, Irene Fowler; sisters, Cindy Myler and Becky (Charles) Woods; brother-in-law, David (Donna) Martin; sister-in-law, Patti (Mark) Williams; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Stine; his brother-in-law, Gerald Lee Martin, Jr; sister-in-law, Janet Sue Chambers; granddaughter, Megan Tynan; niece, Wendi Dawn (Martin/Steele) Rebenspies and nephew, Michael Dean Martin.

A visitation will be held at Resthaven Mortuary & Gardens of Memory, 11800 US-54, Wichita, Kansas, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2025, both at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N. Ridge Rd, Wichita, Kansas. Committal will follow immediately at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Freedom Mausoleum with military honors.
