With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Leslie Rojas Cortez, who entered into eternal rest on June 22, 2026, at the age of 22, following a tragic car accident.
Leslie was born in Wichita, Kansas, to her loving parents, Crisoforo Rojas Alvarez and Griselda Rojas Cortez. Throughout her life, Leslie was known for her caring heart, vibrant spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her kindness, generosity, and warm smile.
A proud graduate of Chester Lewis Academy, Class of 2022, Leslie pursued a career in dental care and worked as a Dental Assistant at Auburn Family Dental. Although her time there was brief, she truly loved her work, found joy in helping others, and valued the friendships she built with her coworkers.
Leslie was raised in the faith of the Christian Evangelical Spiritual Church and though not a member, everyone cared and loved her even so.
Outside of work and church, Leslie embraced life with enthusiasm. She was an avid gym-goer and passionate about health and fitness. Despite her dedication to wellness, she never passed up the chance to enjoy a sweet treat or her favorite spicy snack—Hot Cheetos. She loved spending time with her family and was always there when someone needed her. Her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Leslie enjoyed shopping, surrounding herself with beautiful things, and creating joyful memories with those she loved. She especially loved trips to the lake, where she enjoyed riding jet skis and spending time outdoors. Her adventurous spirit, laughter, and love for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
Leslie is survived by her loving parents, Crisoforo Rojas Alvarez and Griselda Rojas Cortez; grandparents Eraclio Cortez and Sara Chamu; her siblings, Griselda Alvarado, Esmeralda Pasillas, Jahaziel Rojas, and Daniel Rojas; her in-laws, Nancy Rojas, Andres Alvarado, and Rafael Pasillas; four nieces, five nephews, and numerous extended family members, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Zacarias Rojas Salinas and Ramona Alvarez Perez.
Though Leslie's life was far too short, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Her kindness, strength, and beautiful spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life Service for Leslie will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 26, 2026, with visitation one hour prior, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 East 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
