Matney, Lester R., Sr., 84, retired Cessna foreman of 40 years passed away Oct. 9, 2014. Lester was a member and Past Master of Haysville Masonic Lodge #112, a US Navy veteran, worked at Lear Jet for 7 years and a member of Grace Assembly Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and loved to tinker (he could fix anything). He is preceded in death by his son, Lester, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Georgia; daughters, Lydia (Jack) Davis, Jane (David) Dean; sisters, Isa Mae Fraser, Elouise Denney, Mabel Powell; grandchildren, L. Wayne Matney and Katie Dean. Visitation with family is 5 to 7 pm Monday and funeral service is 10:00 am Tuesday, Oct. 14 both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to Good Shepherd Hospice.
