Letha was born on September 29, 1926 in Bronson, Kansas to Marie and Claude Clemings. She attended all 12 grades of school there, then attended Baker University in Baldwin City, KS., graduating in 1948.
In 1949 she married Ervin Lenhart. After all of her kids were in school, she went to work as a social worker in social and rehabilitative services, before becoming a supervisor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister LaDonna Carey, and brother Lorraine.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Michael Lenhart (Giselle) of Owasso, OK., daughters Janice Perricone (Dave Schnug) of Haysville, Kathryn (Jim) Dunham of Wichita, and Marcia Reese (Tim) of Udall, brother Marion (Vera) Clemings well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as other family members.
She was a lifetime member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church where she was a very active member, then of Asbury UMC. Her favorite interest was traveling. She visited all 50 states as well as much of Europe, Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Canada, and The Holy Land. She reached her final destination of Heaven May the 29th, 2022.
A visitation for Letha will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. A funeral service will be Friday, June 3, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Asbury Church, 2801 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203 with a graveside to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
