Letha Fern Roets

Letha passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the age of 87 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born to Charles “Bud” Daniel Caylor and Lillie Amanda Dossey on November 30, 1938 in Eureka, Kansas.

On February 11, 1956, Letha married George Charles Roets Sr. after they met through family. They had five children, Letha Nelson, George Charles Roets Jr, Diana Davis, Daniel “Danny” Roets and Debra McCleary.

Letha worked in a few different roles. She was a truck driver, she worked in a helmet factory and she received an award from SER Corporation, but the role she cherished the most was being a homemaker and taking care of her family and home. Letha loved to sew, travel, crochet and she loved spending time with her family.

Letha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Roets Sr.; brother, Charles Caylor as well as Marion Howard, Betty Petrie, Margaret Hamby, Donna Stahl. She is survived by her children, Letha Nelson, George Charles Roets Jr., Diana Davis, Daniel “Danny” Roets, Debra McCleary; grandchildren, Levi Nelson, Heather Hutchinson, Daniel Roets; Robert “Bobby” Davis, Regina (Roets) Maxwell, Casey Murphy, Ryan McCleary, David Roets; great grandchild, Jillian Nickel; great great grandchildren, Jaxon, Joseph Jolene and David “Davey” Roets; sisters, Martha Lord and Bonnie Belote and many cousins.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6th from 5 pm – 7 pm at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas, 67209 and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10 am at the Crosspoint Freewill Baptist Church. 1515 E Harry St., Wichita, Kansas 67211.
