Lewis E Shue

Shue, Lewis E., Jr. was born July 10, 1925, in Pottsville, Ark. and died September 5, 2010, in Wichita. He was the youngest of six children born to Lewis E. and Elsie (McClain) Shue and grew up in Haskell, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. army during WWII and then attended Oklahoma University. In 1952, after moving to Wichita, he married Ruth B. Jones-Turner, also acquiring a daughter with the marriage. Ruth preceded him in death. That marriage lasted 30 years and produced one son. Lewis spent many years as a pharmaceutical rep. and in later years, as an insurance rep. for American National Insurance Co. He is preceded in death by his parents, five siblings, and a grandson and leaves behind a son, Randy and a daughter, Sharon (Ross) Ailslieger and two grandchildren, Paul (Suzanne), Wichita, Kristafer (Rhona) Ailslieger, Topeka and three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Viewing is 12 to 8 pm Friday with family receiving 6 to 7 pm. Graveside service is 11:00 am Saturday, Sept. 11 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Memorial in lieu of flowers with Ascension Lutheran Church.
