Lila Lynn Shafer

Lila Lynn Shafer, at the age of 64, left this world behind on February 1, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer to enter the home prepared for her by her heavenly Father. Lila was born on June 4, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas to Joan and Leon Langley. She graduated from Wichita West High School. She had recently retired after a successful career as painter for Boeing/Spirit Aviation. She was happily married to Robert Shafer who was her partner in life for 47 years. Lila lived a Christ-centered life. She enjoyed and cherished the time she spent with her family. She also enjoyed a clean house. Lila was resilient and never encountered a challenge that was too great. She was not afraid to express her thoughts or to make a quick-witted response. She was the salt of the earth and left an everlasting legacy. Lila is survived by her husband, Robert; her five boys, Robert Jr., Jason, Jessie, Nicholaus and Quinten; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her two sisters, Lana and Laura Langley; and her brother, LeRoy Langley. A come and go visitation will be available from 9:00AM to 4:00PM Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Family and friends are also invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday February 6, 2021 at 3:00PM CST at Word of Life South located at 2020 E. Blake, Wichita, KS 67211.
