Lillian Marie (Ballard) Simpson, 85, Retired Secretary, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at CedarHurst of Wichita. She was born July 2, 1940, in Meade, Kansas, the daughter of Woodrow Robert Albert and Velma Lenora (Tabb) Ballard.
Lillian for a short time attended Wichita Business College in Wichita, Kansas. During her free time, she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and knitting a various amount of items.
As a woman of faith, she was a lifelong member of Central Community Church in Wichita, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Woodrow and Lenora Ballard; her husband, Howard Simpson; along with her sister, Louise Howard.
She is survived by: her children, Lori (Scott) Smith and Michael Simpson; along with her beloved grandson, Jonah Smith.
The casket will remain closed. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will be held privately following the service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Lillian's name has been established with: Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 South Market Street, Wichita, Kansas 67202, and may be left in care of the mortuary.
