

Linda Annette (Lyles) Whitfill, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Born on December 15, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, Linda was the cherished daughter of George Williams Lyles and Alma Vida (Norman) Lyles.
Linda’s radiant personality and infectious giggle could light up any room. She was a devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she found joy singing in the choir. As a proud Sorority Sister of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Philanthropic group, Linda’s generosity and camaraderie touched many lives.
An avid traveler, Linda delighted in collecting bells as keepsakes from her journeys across the country. She found happiness in shopping, spending quality time with her loved ones, and sharing memorable experiences with her companion, Norval. Together, they enjoyed musicals, adventures, and peaceful strolls by the pond.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving parents, George and Alma Lyles; her husband of 38 years, Keith Whitfill; and her identical twin sister, Brenda (Lynn) Vick. Her memory will be lovingly treasured by her daughter, Robin (Steven) Cowell; her son, Marc (Michelle) Whitfill; her grandchildren, Caden Whitfill, Ashley Cowell, and Gracie Cowell; her significant other, Norval Alliston; and countless dear friends.
A celebration of Linda’s life will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church, located at 1415 S. Topeka Street, Wichita, Kansas 67211. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 9:00 AM.
Linda’s warmth, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
