Lorraina Priscilla "Baby" Robles passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 33, after a courageous battle with cervical cancer. Through every challenge she faced, Lorraina remained steadfast in her faith, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Born January 8, 1993, in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Lorraina was the beloved daughter of Lorraine Torres Vasquez and Manuel Torres. She was preceded in death by her cherished mother, Lorraine Torres Vasquez (October 24, 1967 – July 22, 2022), whose memory she carried close to her heart throughout her life.
Lorraina was a woman of remarkable determination and perseverance. She earned her GED in Wichita, Kansas, and went on to graduate from Southwestern College with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Her commitment to growth, education, and helping others reflected the strength and dedication that defined her character.
Lorraina proudly served her country in the Air National Guard for six years, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Stationed at McConnell Air Force Base, she exemplified the military core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all she did. Beyond her military service, she was actively involved in the Color Guard, honoring fellow service members and veterans through military ceremonies, funerals, celebrations, and community events.
She approached life with passion and creativity. Lorraina loved painting, baking, DIY arts and crafts projects, and had a special talent for hair, nails, and makeup. No matter the occasion, she was the person everyone turned to for help getting ready, always making sure everyone else looked their best before taking care of herself. She also enjoyed pickleball and had a lifelong love of sports. As a child, she fearlessly competed alongside the boys on football, baseball, and basketball teams, demonstrating the confidence and determination that would characterize her entire life.
Lorraina had a curious mind and a fascination with psychology, particularly criminal investigations and the study of criminal behavior. She loved learning, asking questions, and understanding the complexities of people and the world around her.
To know Lorraina was to love her. She was funny, loving, and wonderfully witty. Those closest to her often described her as being like a Sour Patch Kid—sometimes a little sour at first, but always sweet. She enjoyed playful banter and could give back every bit as much as she received. Her contagious laugh could brighten any room, and her sense of humor helped others find light even in life's darkest moments.
Lorraina was a trusted friend and confidant, always offering a shoulder to lean on. She was compassionate, understanding, and never judgmental. If someone needed her, she was there without hesitation. She poured her whole heart into everything she pursued and remained committed until the very end, never giving up until she crossed the finish line.
Above all, Lorraina loved Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her decisions, sustaining her through adversity, and filling her days with joy and purpose. Her love for Christ, her family, and her beloved dogs was evident in everything she did. She found her strength in the Lord, and that strength became a blessing to everyone around her.
Lorraina is survived by her loving husband, Abraham Robles; her father, Manuel Torres; her aunt, Yvonne Vasquez; her uncle Carlos Vasquez; her brothers, Joseph Vasquez and Anthony Alba; her sister, Laura Torres; her nieces, Anita Torres, Phyllis Fernandez, and Micah Fernandez; her nephew, Kandyn Uriealis; her cousins, Richard Vasquez and Robert Vasquez; and her in-laws, Gabby Robles, Amy Moore, and Dominique Robles.
She also leaves behind her cherished companions, Chuck, Diddy, and Fat Man, who brought her endless joy and comfort.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Lorraina's impact was immeasurable. She was a loyal warrior in uniform and in life, a faithful servant of God, a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her legacy of faith, laughter, compassion, and unwavering dedication will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
While we grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise that she is now in the presence of her Savior, healed and at peace. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts until we meet again.
A Celebration of Life Service for Lorraina will be held at 2:00PM, on Saturday, June 27th, with visitation an hour prior, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67206.
