Lorraine Tulimiero, 80, beloved mother and friend, passed away January 25, 2021 in Wichita, Kansas. Lorraine was born May 5, 1940, and lived much of her life in New York. She moved to Kansas to be close to her family. Lorraine lived at the Summerfield Senior Residences in Andover in the last years of her life.
Survivors include her daughter Christina Iris (Troy) Rigg of Andover; step daughters Theresa Tulimiero of New York, New York, Debra (David) Duffield of San Diego, California and Fran Tulimiero of Port Jefferson, New York; step grandson TJ Rigg of Maxwell, Texas; and many friends and neighbors at Summerfield.
Lorraine loved animals, the ocean, playing cards, solving brain puzzles, watching the Hallmark channel and mystery movies. She was also a music lover, especially the music of the King of Rock, Elvis.
Lorraine became a huge part of Summerfield, where she often pet sat for her neighbors. Her favorite pet to sit for would be her loving grand-dog, Sophia, who loved spending time with her at Summerfield. Lorraine also volunteered at the Andover Senior Center, hosting their movie nights.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Lorraine’s honor to the Humane Society of the United States or to the World Wildlife Fund.
