

Rathbun, Louise T., 97, passed away February 25, 2011. Louise the only child of Ralph and Mary (Hancock) Hall was born at her maternal grandparents home in Beverly, KS January 16, 1914. Her maternal grandparents were Waldo and Emma (Lewis) Hancock. Waldo was a pioneer in Lincoln County, arriving from Milford, MA in 1869. Louise taught school before her marriage to Paul and then she became a stay-at-home farm wife raising their 7 sons. She and Paul enjoyed square dancing and later often played Bingo in Salina. She was an avid K-State fan as all her sons attended the University. She supported the Beverly Methodist Church by accompanying singing with her piano playing and with many pies and cakes for their functions in serving the community and its members. She enjoyed card games with friends at the Lincoln Senior Center and always worked the daily word jumble from the newspaper. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul A.; sons Gene, Robert and David. Her survivors are sons Don (Dee), Steve, Jerry (Sandy), Roy (Sharon); 9 granddaughters and 3 grandsons; 8 great grand daughters and 4 great grandsons. Memorial service is 2:00 pm Sunday, March 6 at United Methodist Church of Beverly, KS. Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas, 808 S.
