Lovetta M. Burnett

Lovetta was born May 17, 1939 at her grandma Lauber's home, in Hume, MO. Her parents are Tony Willard Lauber and Clestine Marie Lauber (deceased). Lovetta has two younger brothers, Willard Lauber of Westland, Michigan and Douglas Lauber (deceased) of Wichita, Kansas; one sister Charlott Roberts-Mase of Arizona. Lovetta, at age 6 months, moved from Hume, MO to Cleveland, MO. She went for the first 2 years of school at Cleveland then moved to Fort Scott, KS where she went the rest of her school years.

Lovetta Marie Lauber and Kermitt Lynn Burnett (now deceased) were united in marriage July 6, 1958 in Fort Scott, KS. She moved to Wichita, KS where her husband Kermitt lived and worked at Boeing for 43 years. They moved to Andover, KS, in June of 1962. Their marriage produced 2 daughters, Dianna Marie Smith of Andover, KS and Detta Lynne sowers who lives in Augusta, KS. The girls spent all their school years in Andover, KS.

There are 2 grandchildren, Tina (Matt) Marie Wright and Tony Solt of Wichita, KS; 3 great-grandchildren.

Lovetta worked in retail sales most of her life. A wife and mother also active with school and PTA and church, where she sang in the church choir for 2 years. Lovetta was on worship committee and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Lovetta loved to ride motorcycles with her husband, enjoyed bowling, fishing, rollerskating, dancing, gardening, traveling. She loved being with family and friends and having big dinners and backyard cookouts. She was a very loving and caring person.
