

Wenke, Mable Elsie, 100, of Decatur, IL died April 17th, 2012 at Imboden Living Center. Mable was born on April 1st, 1912 in Dos Palos, CA., the daughter of Issac Clinton Winegarner and Ada Maude (Bradley) Winegarner. She married George Godfrey Wenke on November 29, 1929. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1996. Viewing is Friday 12 to 8 pm with family receiving friends 6 to 7 pm at Resthaven Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 21 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Mable moved to Decatur from Wichita in November of 2003. She worked as a machine shop inspector at Boeing during WW II, The School of The Magedaline in Wichita, KS as a cafeteria cook, and numerous part time jobs. She was a member of St Anne's Catholic Church in Wichita and Holy Family Church in Decatur. She was active with Cub scouts, Brownies, and other activities of her children. She loved to dance even, with a walker, and she enjoyed playing in the Bell Choir at Imboden Gardens, participating in Bingo and various card games. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: Son Carl C Wenke and wife Anita of Lees Summit, MO, Daughter Georganna (Jan) McGregor and husband Ron of Decatur. Grandchildren John Martin (Teri) and Diana Gilbert (Ralph) of Decatur. Paul Hanaki-Martin (Saori) and Sandra Laabs of Louisville, KY.. Chris Wenke (Vickie) of Omaha, NE and Carla Allred (Dusty) of Wichita, KS. 12 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great, great, grandchildren. Memorials to donors choice
