O'Dell, Mae Jane, 90, retired USD 259 teacher, passed away February 9, 2016. Mae was a lifetime member of Emporia State University Alumni Association, National Education Association, Kansas Association of Retired School Personel, Wichita Association of Retired School Personel, Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority Beta Chapter, and Disabled Am. Veteran Aux. American Legion Aux. #256. She was also a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority, and Kappa Phi. Mae was preceded by spouse, Albert O'Dell, Oct. 24, 1991; parents, Ira and Flossie Mullen; brother, Lawrence Mullen; sister, Vera Cunningham; niece, Laura. She is survived by sister, Ethel Hetzel; 7 nieces and nephews; a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends; and 3 step-sons and their families. Viewing 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Resthaven Mortuary and funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
