

Margaret Corder, born on October 1, 1951 in Independence, Kansas, passed away on February 5, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 74. She spent much of her childhood moving from place to place, an experience that influenced her lifelong enjoyment of travel, and later graduated from high school in Franklin, Indiana. She was known for her love of visiting family, reading, and catfishing. Margaret cherished taking big summer vacations with her kids and was known for her generous nature.
Margaret was a retired clerk for the United States Postal Service, where she dedicated many years of service.
She was preceded in death by her son John Andrew Brant, her parents, Floyd and Mildred (Miller) Jones, her sister Virginia Bernard, her son-in-law Robert Sharp, and her brother-in-law Harry Thornton.
Margaret is survived by her children, Carolyn Sharp, Jeff (Jennifer) Corder, and Melissa (Adrian) Molina. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Thornton, and brothers, Paul (Lisa) Jones and Eugene (Tina) Jones. Her legacy extends to her grandchildren, Ryan (Karina) Bray, Alyssa (Jeromey) Sharp, and Brandon Sharp, as well as her two great-grandchildren, extended family, and chosen family members.
Margaret's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S Hydraulic, Wichita, KS 67211.
