Morris, Marie Irene, born in Purdy, MO to Luther Ghan and Leona (Herrell) Ghan was fully restored and is in the presence of Jesus on June 17, 2018. During her career, Marie worked at Edo Aircraft Corporation and as a Manager of the fabric department at the west Walmart in Wichita. For over 60 years, she was an active member of the Westside Freewill Baptist Church. She kept the Ledbetter Singers children while they were touring, also babysitting many other kids. A lot of them still call her “mom” to this day. Marie also cooked and baked pies for Christmas Bazaars. An artist with her needle and thread, she created many beautiful masterpieces. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, quilting and embroidery. She would even make clothes for her girls and their friends. She was friendly and outgoing with a positive attitude and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Carroll L. Morris; daughter, Caroline Morris-Infield; brothers, Bub, Carroll and Carl (Onedia) Ghan; sister, Lorene (Don) Ellis; and brothers-in-law, Smitty Smith and Stu Jacobs. Marie is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Bob) Keathley; son-in-law, Jim D. Infield; brothers, Hap (Carol) Ghan and Junior (Barbara) Ghan; sisters, Billie Jacobs and Patsy (David) Pringle; sisters-in-law, Lupe Ghan and Ilene Ghan; grandchildren, Jimmie Infield, Anna (Chris) Harris, Jeremy (Casey) Keathley and Jennifer Mauldin; and great grandchildren, Brenton Mauldin and Everett Keathley. There will be visitation Friday, June 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS. A Funeral Service will be held at Westside Freewill Baptist Church, 3310 W. MacArthur Rd., Wichita, KS, on 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23. Burial will be at the Garden of Prayer at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
