56, loving wife and soulmate, mother and friend, passed away July 14, 2016. A lifelong resident of Kansas, Marilane worked as the Residency Coordinator at the University of Kansas School of Medicine for over 34 years. She loved cooking, arranging seasonal decorations, and get togethers with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Goddard Iles, and sister, Iona Eliason. Marilane is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jeffrey Carr; son, Jeffrey Carr Jr.; father, James Iles; brother, Steve (Tracy) Iles; sisters, Melanie Sallada, Cheryl Iles, Lisa Wertz, and Stephanie Morris; and granddaughter, Dilyn Carr. A viewing will be held at 12:00 PM with celebration of life service to follow at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20th, both at Resthaven Mortuary.
