Marilyn E. Davis

Davis, Marilyn Elaine, 85, of Wichita, Kansas passed away Wed. Oct. 7, 2015 in Wichita. Marilyn was born on Feb. 1, 1930 in Harper, Iowa the daughter of Nicholas and Florence (Bickford) Weber. Marilyn and Marlin Davis were united in marriage on Dec. 9, 1950 in Topeka, KS. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was loved by her husband and her family and will be missed. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Wichita. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her loving husband, Marlin Davis, daughter, Joyce (Steven) Hartman of Wichita, sister, Dorothy Weaver McGinnis of Topeka, grandchildren, Jennifer and Stacy Hartman both of Wichita, nieces, Linda (Anna Marie) Weaver and their son Jorden of Topeka, KS, Deanna (Victor) Solimine of Austin, TX. A visitation with family present will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Funeral services for Marilyn will be 1pm both on Mon. Oct. 12, 2015 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Dignity Celebrant Cyndi Pearce will officiate. Memorials have been established in her name and loving memory with the St. Anne Catholic Church in Wichita or American Cancer Society.
