Marjorie Jane (Yonkey) Stephenson Bauers, age 88, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Marjorie was born December 21, 1934, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Helen Katherine Shimonek Yonkey and Walter Martin Yonkey Sr.
Marjorie is survived by her son Kyle Martin Stephenson (Natalie); daughter Linda Lucile Broomes (John); stepchildren Larry (Allison) Bauers, Mesa, AZ, Tom (Julie) Bauers, Weeping Water, NE, Brenda Boyer (Doc Sedlachek), Weeping Water, NE; Siblings Doris Hall, Exeter, NE, Walter Martin "Terry" Yonkey Jr. (Sandra), Bennet, NE, Maryjean Carlson, Hallock, MN, Donna Doolittle (Donald), Gretna, NE; grandchildren Christopher Stephenson (Catherine), Houston, TX; James Stephenson (Alicia), Tyler Broomes (Lauren) Winfield, KS; Alainna Janzen (Luke), Rose Hill, KS; Adam Broomes, Claire Broomes, Eden Broomes, Noah Broomes; and great grandchildren Joseph, Christine, Jade, Oliver, Miles, Rhett, Gage, and Kinsley.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Larry Gene Stephenson; husband Robert WIlliam Bauers Sr.; daughters Teri Arden Stephenson and Lari Rae Stephenson; father Walter Martin Yonkey Sr; mother Helen Katherine (Shimonek) Yonkey; and sister Jean Louise Yonkey.
A private family service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E 13Th St N, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
