

Smith, Marjory Maxine, 95, homemaker and retired LPN, passed away January 19, 2013. Marjory enjoyed bowing and fishing with her husband. She also loved animals – especially her parrot, Max. Marjory was an excellent seamstress and made many clothes for herself and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron J. Smith; great-grandson, Frank Allds and sister, Dodger Anderson. Her survivors include sons, Duke (Jan) Smith and Jim (Peggy) Smith; grandchildren, Heath (Carla) Smith, Brett (Mary) Smith, Jodi (David) Draper, Jackye (John) Mickelson, Gregg (Chris) Roberts, Scott Smith, Tammy Jensen, Marty Clark, Debbie Smith, Brad (Tiffany) Roberts, Jami (Terry) Harris and numerous great-grandchildren. Marjory was a fiery redhead who eloped with her high school sweetheart and kept her marriage a secret for a year. She remained true to her hair color all her life. Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Memorials contributions may be made to Medicalodge of Goddard Assisted Living Services or Kansas Humane Society.
