Mark passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the age of 61 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born to Martin Thornburg and Patricia (Hunter) Thornburg on October 24, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas.
Mark graduated high school from the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas. He also attended a few semesters at Gallaudet University in Washington DC. He enjoyed collecting current and vintage baseball cards and comic books. Mark was always a true believer in God and spent much of his time doing research into religious history. Mark had a friendly disposition and a sarcastic sense of humor.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia (Hunter) Thornburg. He is survived by his father, Martin Thornburg; sister, Pam Leblond; niece, Ashley Sutton and three cats rescued from an animal shelter.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
