Mary Etta Butler, age 72, passed away March 19, 2019. Born December 11, 1946, in Watsonville, California, to Albert Newton and Elcie Mae Griffin. Mary loved to read romance novels, going fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. Mary was an intelligent woman with a dry sense of humor. She was selfless and devoted to helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by both parents, Albert and Elcie Griffin; husband, Bill Butler; brother, Charles; sister, Sharon; and grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew. Mary is survived by sons, Barry Hall of Wichita, Kansas, and Larry (Annette) Butler of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Lisa Benevente of Peach County, Georgia; sister, Lorena of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, Albert Leroy of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Brian, Christian, Isaiah, Eric, Sara, Tess, and Brandon; and 7 great-grandchildren. A family service will be held at a later date, at Ft. Gibson Oklahoma, National Veteran's Cemetery.
