Mary Frances Dotson

Mary graduated from Wichita West High School, carrying forward a steady determination and a thoughtful spirit that remained evident throughout her life.

On May 21, 1983, Mary married Delbert Dean, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 43 years. Their story began through a sister and a friend—and, as family fondly recalls, included the memorable detail that she hid in the clothes closet. Together, they built a life grounded in commitment, shared laughter, and the quiet strength of family.

Mary found joy in the simple and the beautiful: camping and fishing, cruises and vacations, and time spent baking for others. She was also very artistic, with a creative eye that brought warmth and personal meaning to the world around her.

She loved everyone, she treated all her kids and grandkids friends as her own.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Tracy; her mother, Reta Larcade; her brother, Robert Tracy; and her daughter, Shayla Dotson.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dean Dotson; her daughters, Scarlet Mork (Matthew), Savanna Brannan (Brendan), and Shonee Corbett (Morgan); her sister, Patricia (Dennis); her sister, Lola (Willie); her brother, Joseph ll (Vallie); her brother, Samuel (Kathy); and 10 grandkids, 7 Nieces, 8 Nephews and many more family.

A Visitation will be August 7, 2026 at 9am, followed by a funeral service at 10am. Both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, KS, 67209.
