Mary, 74, was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Mary was born in Wichita, KS on August 17, 1946 to Billy W. and Charlotte Maxine Hoy. She spent her childhood running between her family's home and her grandparent's home next door, playing with siblings and cousins. Mary met Bob Frey Sr. when they worked together at Coleman. They were married on June 1, 1968 at Riverlawn Christian Church. Their love and commitment to each other was unparalleled. They raised two children together, established a home, traveled, spent time with family and friends. They loved each other deeply and set the example of how to build a relationship on love, trust and friendship. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2018 with many of their friends and family. Mary began a career as a paraprofessional with USD 259 so she could have the same time off as her children. She loved to work with students who had multiple challenges, and retired from Levy Special Education Center in 1991. She would bring students home with her for a Saturday to help provide respite care for their families. After retiring, Mary spent time with her family, taking care of loved ones and volunteering with various church organizations. She enjoyed being around people, helping with big family dinners, organizing family reunions, and being active in church. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church, Westside Christian Church and was currently attending Pathway. She led many Vacation Bible Schools, taught women's Bible Studies, hosted youth groups, decorated for Christmas and hosted many small group meetings. Mary loved her family. She knew she was fortunate to have married into a family that loved her as much as her own. She loved and took care of her parents and her in-laws through tough times and illnesses. She always made sure the families were together for birthdays, decorating elaborate cakes for her children. She knew that family time was precious and she worked hard to make good family memories. Mary was at every little league practice and game. She led Girl Scouts for years. She was a room mother, went on field trips and drove kids to church camp. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Bob Sr., her son, Bob Jr. (Sherri) and daughter, Jami Scott (Michael) and many other family and friends whom she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy W. Sr. and Charlotte Maxine Hoy, parents in-law, Harold E. and Nancy Viola Frey, her brother, Billy W. Hoy Jr. and sister, Margaret Elaine Oyler.
