Mary L. Hawkins

Mary was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church, member of the Altar Society and a Blue Army Member.

She was preceded by her husband, J.Q. and sister Virginia Traner. She is survived by her children; Virginia (Keith) Gegen of Cheney, Linda Bowman of Newton, Jim (Cathy) Hawkins of Overland Park, John (Chris) Hawkins of Wichita, Carolyn (Jim) Nungesser of Wichita, Joe (Pam) Hawkins of St. Mark, Patty (Mike) O’Rourke of Wichita and sister Louise Martin, 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.

You taught us all more than you will ever know about faith and the importance of family. We will miss you but we know Dad is glad to have you back by his side. We believe that Heaven got one of the best.

Rosary, 7:30pm, Friday, February 21; Funeral Mass, 10am, Saturday, February 22, both at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
