At the age of 18, Mary joined the Epsilon Sigma Alpha, an international philanthropic organization and remained active up to the time of her passing. Mary also strongly supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Heartspring.
Mary was baptized at First United Methodist Church as a child, and remained a devoted member throughout her life.
As a woman with a strong work ethic, she was employed for many years with the Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas. Along with her husband, Doug, she was an owner of Scene Seventy's in the 1970's era.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Joseph and Lucille Harr; her husband, George W. "Doug" Hill; her son, Gregory Reynold Hill; along with her brother, Joseph Lee Harr Jr.
She is survived by: her daughter, Virginia "Chari" (Frank) Roesch; her grandchildren, Dustin Jacob (Nicole )Roesch, Michelle Kay Roesch, and Douglas John (Madison) Roesch; her great-grandchildren, Ali Roesch, Parker Roesch, Cayden Woods, and Carter Woods; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Public Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM ~ 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 330 North Broadway Street, Wichita, Kansas 67202. Entombment will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Garden of Freedom, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial dear to Mary's heart has been established with: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
