Louise was born on December 11, 1933, in Flagler, Colorado to Gloyd Lee Bryan and Mary A. Odneal. She was raised in Liberal, Kansas, where she graduated from Liberal High School before continuing her education at Central Business College in Denver. After marrying the love of her life, Jack E. Josserand, the couple made their home in Wichita, where Louise spent the majority of her life building a career, raising her family, and serving her community.
Louise devoted much of her professional life to the banking industry, where she was known for her dedication, integrity, and warm personality. Never one to shy away from a new adventure, she fulfilled a lifelong dream in the years leading up to her retirement by opening a women's clothing boutique, becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Giving back to others was one of Louise's greatest joys. She was deeply involved in numerous community organizations and was a devoted member of Daughters of the Nile for many years. She was honored to serve as a Queen within the organization, a role that reflected her leadership, generosity, and commitment to helping others. Her faith in God guided her throughout her life and inspired her spirit of service and compassion.
Above all else, Louise cherished her family. She was a constant, loving presence in the lives of her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether attending family events, celebrating holidays, or simply spending time together, she treasured every moment with those she loved. She created lasting memories through her unwavering support, laughter, and encouragement.
Louise also had an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel, explore new places, and was always ready to try something new.Her enthusiasm for life, curiosity, and joyful outlook inspired everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband, Jack E. Josserand.
She is lovingly remembered by: her daughter, RoxAnne Liggett; her grandchildren, Bryn Shaffer, Seth Mecum, and Brooke Schmeidler; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM ~ 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2026; Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 AM, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
