

Kraus, Mary Jane (Dunegan) 87, born February 13, 1930 in Wichita, Ks., the youngest child of James Ruland and Etta Jane (Roberds) Dunegan, passed away August 1, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Mary Jane graduated from Saint Mary’s Cathedral High School in 1949, retired from USD 259 food service in 1999 (proud of her Louise Lawrence Award) and volunteered 21 years at Via Christi St. Joseph gift shop. In addition to her family, she took great joy in her oil painting, gardening, photography and visits to Colorado and Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Laverne Joseph Kraus; brothers, George and James Dunegan; sisters, Wilma Irene Olshansky and Betty Jean Zeller; great-granddaughter, Scarlet Katie Glasgow. She was survived by; children, Sara (Jim) Peters, Rebecca (Bob) Leis, Andrew (Julie) Kraus, Jenifer (Grady) Glasgow, all of Wichita, Ks., Karen (Steve) Smith of Leavenworth, Ks. and Paul (Tammy) Kraus of North Las Vegas, NV., brother, Robert Dunegan of Wichita, Ks., numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A rosary will be held August 6, 2017 at 7 PM at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic. Mass of Christian Burial will be August 7, 2017 @ 10 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E Grand Wichita, Ks. with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial suggested to All Saints Catholic Church (St. Vincent De Paul Society) Harry Hynes Hospice or Victory in the Valley.
