Mary Lindsted

Mary graduated from Wichita High School East in 1961. Following high school she remained working at Macy's Department Store as a clerk, then moved into banking. On August 29, 1964, Mary married the love of her life, Dan Lindsted. Together they had three children: David, Marla, and Mark Lindsted.

She enjoyed flower gardening, ceramics, traveling, and birdwatching. Most importantly she came to know the Lord at a very young age and tending to her family. From 1963 to present she was a devoted member and Sunday school teacher at Westside Bible Chapel.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Bachtenkircher; and sister, Glenda Bachtenkircher.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dan Lindsted; children: David (Kristy) Lindsted, Marla (Christian) Ferris and Mark Lindsted; grandchildren: Logan Wimsatt, Emma C. Lindsted, Joey (Sara) Lantz of Hays, KS, Kayli (T.J) Leach of Wichita, Layne (Lauren) Lindsted of Kansas City, KS, Mycah Lindsted of Wichita, Wyatt Rae of Wichita, Allyson Rae of Wichita, Madison Ferris of Lawrence, Ks, Preston Ferris of Wichita, Karee Dodson of Norman, Ok, Mark Lindsted Jr. of Wichita and Kacey Lindsted of Bel Aire, Ks; great grandchildren: Andrue Leach, Julien Leach, Ellie Lantz, Macy Grace Lindsted; sister in law, Gail (Gene) Wells of Bethany, Ok; brother in law, Robert (Sharon) Lindsted of Bel Aire, Ks; brother in law, Curtis (Carol) Lindsted of Colwich, Ks; nieces/nephews: Jana Bachtenkircher-Bendl of Williamston, Nc, Cindy (Joe) De La Garza of San Diego, Ca, Tim Fuchs of Missouri, Shandra Kline, Matthew (Jill) Kline, Michael Kline, Mark Kline, Dana (Matthew) McFarland of Oklahoma, Carla Wells of Oklahoma, Jana (Luke) Green of Texas, Pam (Zama) Lindsted of Burma, Byron (Lori) Lindsted of Wichita, Kyle (Anita) of Bel Aire, Ks, Kevin (Raeleen) Lindsted of Montana, Karen Lindsted of Colwich, Sarah (Will) Hill of Sedgwick, Ks and Tim Lindsted of Oregon; cousin Sharon (Rick) Larson of Wichita.

A visitation for Mary with family present will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Westside Bible Chapel, 12050 West Central Avenue, Wichita, KS 67235. A graveside service will follow the service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, Ks 67209 in The Garden of Freedom.
