Mary Leota Parks

82, passed away peacefully on April 27th 2016 at Park West Plaza Retirement Community in Wichita. Mary was born in Cogar Oklahoma to parents R.J. and Zona Fears on May 6th, 1933. She was preceded in death by J.C. Parks, her husband of 62 years, her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Mary is survived by her two sons, Larry of Wichita and Gary of Denver, Larry's wife, Cynthia, three grandsons, Greg and Bryan, Bryan's wife, Sasha of Wichita and Jason of Denver. Other survivors include three great grandsons Skyler, Brady, and Reece, and two great granddaughters Mahlon and Adyson and one great great grandson Aidyn, two great great granddaughters Kinley and Makenzie. Mary was known for her wonderful sense of humor, love of her family, and a natural desire to lend a helping hand to those in need. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Park West Plaza Retirement Community for all their care and support of Mary in her final years. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 and funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N.
