Mary Alice (Skeen) Richardson was born March 26th,1939, to Mary Elsie (Lee) Skeen and Andrew Jackson Skeen. She was the youngest of 11 children. Mary was married on January 28, 1956, and had three daughters in this union. She later married Donald C. Richardson on August 22, 1987.
Mary was a restaurateur for many years before retiring in 1985. She loved the business but most of all she loved the people. Mary was a member of Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church for several years and loved her church family dearly. They were so special to her and are to her family as well.
She will be truly missed. But is now rejoicing in heaven with Jesus, her Lord and Savior.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; daughter, Veronica "Voni" (Stevenson) Elston; and two grandsons.
She is survived by daughters, Denna (Stevenson) Bowmaker and Debra Stevenson; son-in-law, David Bowmaker; stepdaughter, Julie (Brady) McCoy and stepson, Roger (Melissa) Richardson; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM ~ 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, with the Funeral Service following at 10:30 AM, both at Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church, 1515 East Harry Street, Wichita, Kansas 67211. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Rose Garden, Lot 70C, Space 2, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Cross Point Free Will Baptist Church, 1515 East Harry Street, Wichita, Kansas 67211.
