With her father being in the Air Force Maureen lived in Florida from 1965-1968, England from 1968-1972; and finally settled in Wichita, KS. When she moved to Wichita, Maureen attended the Special Education program at Levy Elementary. At the age of 18, Maureen graduated from Starkey. She went on to work at Starkey.
While attending Levy, Maureen enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics. Maureen also enjoyed bicycling and swimming. Maureen loved animals, but had a special place in her heart for cows. When Maureen would go back to the group home on Sundays, after hanging out with the family, they would go look for cows with niece, Katherine, and nephew, Christopher.
Maureen is survived by her mother, Shelia Nally; sister, Eileen (Donald) Ternes; niece, Katherine (Christopher) Lohnes (Ternes); and nephew, Christopher (Maggie) Ternes; and great-niece, Felicity Lohnes.
A recitation of the holy rosary for Maureen will be held Monday, August 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E Grand St, Wichita, KS 67218.
A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, August 25, 2025 at 10:30 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E Grand St, Wichita, KS 67218.
A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
