Melissa C. Peltzer

Melissa C. Peltzer passed away on September 21th, 2016 at the age of 61 losing her war with cancer. Melissa was born in Wichita to Art & Phyllis Whorton and attended East High School. She worked as a Private Investigator, chamber of Commerce, Physician Exchange, and Blessed Sacrament School along with various other jobs. However her biggest job was pouring her heart, kindness and mind out to everyone she met and helping in any way she could. Over the years Melissa has developed many close friendships and is called mom by so many.

Melissa had her first date in1969 with Bob Peltzer. They were married on February 29th 1980. Eight years later she gave birth to their son Michael Peltzer a well known musician in Wichita. She opened up her home to everyone.

She is survived by her parents Art & Phyllis Whorton, husband Bob of 36 years, son Michael, mother-in-law Linda Peltzer, brother-in-law Adam (Jessica) Peltzer and many friends.

Catholic Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Michael Peltzer, 2pm, Mon. Sept. 26th at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, 201 S. Hydraulic. In lieu of flowers memorial to PALS Animal Rescue, Inc., P. O. Box 47342, Wichita, KS 67201.
