Jones, Melvin L., U.S.D 259 retired teacher and U.S. army Vet passed away Nov. 7, 2010. He was born to Melvin L. and Mary Belle (Hackler) Jones on Mar. 9, 1936 in Centerview, MO, and is preceded in death by his parents. Melvin is survived by his wife, Ruby “Aileen” Jones of Wichita, daughter Vicki L. (Randall) Bailey of Topeka, stepdaughter Barbara O’Brien of Austin, TX; brothers Jerry Jones of Columbus, MO and Ronald Jones of Scottdale, AZ; grandchildren Jacob and Sarah Bailey of Topeka, and stepgrandchild Meggie O’Brien of Austin, TX. Inurnment 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cem., Sedalia, MO, Sat., Nov. 13. Memorials: Harry Hynes Hospice.
