

Michael Lynn Decker, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with liver and lung cancer. Michael was born March 31, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Fay J. and Ruth M. (Mendenhall) Decker.
Mike attended Derby Public Schools in Derby, KS.
Mike went into the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1977, where he was stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi. In 1982, he started his own commercial tire business, Express Tire, then after a few years he went to work for Coleman. In 1998, he went to work for Beech, then retired in January of 2020.
Mike was a longtime master mason and a shriner with the Midian Temple in the mini cycle unit. During his free time, he enjoyed race car driving with his father and brother, Jimmy, then in later years he enjoyed going and watching the races. In his final years, he enjoyed checking off his travel bucket list going to the Bahamas, Hawaii, and Alaska with his brother, Larry.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Fay and Ruth; his uncle, Lonnie; along with his cousin, Kathy.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Grace Decker; his children, Michael Christain Decker and Misty Kay Decker; his brothers, Jimmy (Carol) Decker and Larry (Laura) Decker; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Resthaven Mortuary.
Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Private interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Midian Shrine Plain of Mercy, 130 N. Topeka Ave., Wichita, Kansas 67202.
