Michael served with distinction in the navy from 1955 to 1975, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. His dedication and contributions during his military career were highly regarded.
In his personal life, Michael enjoyed bowling, old movies and had a deep love for oldies radio . In his younger years, he was an avid swimmer.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Clayton Foster and Bonnie Foster (Maher), and his beloved wife of 64 years, Sharon Foster.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Foster, Sandra Foster, Jeff Foster, and Robert Foster (Jenifer). He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who will cherish his memory.
A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, located at 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS, 67209, on January 16, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
Michael Foster will be remembered with love and respect by all who knew him.
