Mike was always the most outgoing person in any room. It was a joy to ever be around him and his family. He treated everyone like they were the most important person in the room. He will be missed. We didn’t see him often, but we enjoyed all the times we did. 

Mike and I went through school together - elementary through high school.  I remember his sense of fun and the many times when he made me laugh so hard (although his practical jokes were another matter!). Mike was a blessing to our young lives as we went through school.  I lost contact with him for many years after I moved away from Wichita but reconnected with him recently at the Arkansas Avenue Elementary school get-togethers.  He was still the caring, fun person he had always been.  God bless you and keep you, my friend!

Mike was one of my best friends in high school. We were on the track team together. I left Wichita many years ago, but enjoyed catching up with him at a few class reunions over the years. It was like we picked up right where we left off. He always seemed genuinely glad to see me, and the feeling was mutual. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I have always considered it to be an honor to be one of Mike's friends.  He was the leader of the pack for Ron, Larry, Bert and I, probably because there was nothing he wouldn't do for us or to us.  He loved life and was a devoted father, son and brother.  I thank the Lord for Mike and am praying for his family and friends.  Mike had placed his faith in the Lord and one day He and I will be united again and as we use to say many years ago, "cool man".  I love you brother.

Mike has always had a fondness in my heart- he helped renovate our family home when I was 11, at the time he had a stingray corvette (I don't know exactly what year his car was ..  66??) and he put my 2 brothers and me in the car and drove down Maize road.  I don't know what I liked more - Mike or the Corvette.  He had a great smile and a wonderful way with people.     ~ Kathy Kelley

I worked with Mike at Cox years ago. He was such a wonderful man... Like another grandfather to me. His smile was contagious, and he was always looking after us "youngsters". He was my secret Santa one year, and I had requested peanut butter pie. He didn't know where to find it, so he bought me a jar of peanut butter and a Graham cracker crust. It was perfect! Thanks for all the laughs, smiles, great memories, and for making work less of a "job". You will truly be missed!
