He was diagnosed with Ushers Syndrome and became blind and deaf in his latter years. He was a graduate of Kapaun High School and Wichita State University. His main enjoyment in life came from his love of sports, being an ardent W.S.U. fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A. Ruth and Forrest Ramsey, Sr.; brother, John Ramsey; and sisters, Helen Kottke and Dorothy Ramsey.
He is survived by brothers, Forrest (Carmen) Ramsey, Jr. of Ashburn, VA and James (Jan) Ramsey of Wichita; sisters, Ann (Al) Williams of San Francisco, CA, Meri Morris, Evelyn (Larry) Locke, and Margaret (Ron) Thunberg of Wichita, Rita (Charlie) Bryant of South Haven, KS; and 71 nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be at St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Thomas Aquinas at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
